15 DAYS BOSNIA TRAVEL PACKAGE
DAY 1 -ARRIVAL
Welcome. Transport from airport to the hotel.
Afternoon hours will be reserved for amazing tour of Sarajevo-Bascarsija.
DAY 2- TOUR IN JABLANICA,BLAGAJ AND MOSTAR-HERZEGOVINA REGION
As Bosnia was the scene of some of the fiercest battles between the Yugoslav Partisans and the Axis Powers during WW2 we will visit Jablanica. It’s a small town famous for its bridge and the Battle of Neretva where the Partisans managed to win a very difficult battle.
After that we will proceed to Blagaj, a haven of peace and natural harmony.
The Blagaj Tekke is situated by the spring of the river Buna, surrounded by beautiful mountains. Nobody in this World passing through area of central Herzegovina can not miss the Europe’s most powerful river spring, one of the oldest Dervish houses in our country and delicious trout made in Blagaj way. At the end of the day it’s time for Mostar experience – a city of light, stone on stone, historical, political, scientific and cultural center of Herzegovina lies at the foot of the slopes of Velez Mountain, in the Neretva River valley.
With its Old Bridge it is one of the most important pearls of Bosnia & Herzegovina. Back to hotel and overnight.
DAY 3 –VISITS TO POCITELJ AND KRAVICE WATERFALLS
After exploring Jablanica we wil visit amazing area of Kravice Waterfalls on the Trebizat river.
It is a smaller version of Niagara Falls, where during summer time we prefer to have a swim. For its amazing beauty and untouched nature, it’s protected by Bosnia and Herzegovinia as a natural treasure. Visit in spring and you can see them in their full glory.
DAY 4 –SARAJEVO
We will start with Sarajevo Walking Tour. This two hours tour offer You to meet the old town of Sarajevo. Walking through charming small ancient streets of Sarajevo will make You fall in love with this lovely town. A walk through Sarajevo is a walk through its past. From the oriental Ottoman quarters lined with sweet shops, caffes and handcraft workshops, to the administrative and cultural center of Austro-Hungarian times, Sarajevo encompasses the very best of both worlds. Well known for its centuries-old tradition of hospitality. Sarajevo is a city where even strangers can feel at home. We will also visit the area of Bosna River Springs, a natural park known for crystal clear springs of river Bosna, with many small lakes and cascades, ideal for walking and enjoying the nature.
Just 8 years after Sarajevo hosted XIV Winter Olympic Games, the city became besieged during the Bosnian War. It was the longest siege in modern history. The next places to visit are Yellow Fortress, Sniper Alley, , Tunnel Of Hope, bob sleigh track, Alpine Coaster in Sunnyland and the Cable Car. Beginning from the best view of the city you will have a glimpse into the geographical area of Sarajevo. The guide will tell you how life was like in a city without electricity, food or water. The tour also includes a visit to famous bob sleigh track located on mountain Trebevicand Top Attraction Trebevic Cable Car . Since the Trebević Cable Car was reconstructed and became operational on 6th April 2018, people going to Trebević from the city reach it in a little more than seven minutes.
Trebević is one of the top tourist attractions in the Sarajevo Canton and one of the favorite picnic spots among locals.
DAY 5: SARAJEVO-TRAVNIK-JAJCE-BIHAC
On the fifth day, you will have the opportunity to visit Travnik – Ottoman time vizier’s town, later Nobel prize winner birthplace with stunning Plava Voda spring, and old Ottoman fortress. This amazing tour, also includes the visit to the city which has been the residence of the Bosnian Kings – Jajce. It is interesting that this is the only city in the World with natural waterfall in the city center. We will also see the Old Mills and amazing Lakes of Pliva, where we are going to have a lunch. Please note that during the summertime, you can consider some swimming at Pliva lakes and its cascades. Later afternoon, we will arrive to Bihać, and organize the easy city walking tour.
DAY 6: BIHAC-UNA NACIONALNI PARK
Later afternoon, we will arrive to Bihać, and organize the easy city walking tour.
We will spent the first part of the day exploring the ecologically protected area of the national Park Una making hikes through the forest and visiting the amazing area of Štrbački Buk waterfall.
Štrbački buk waterfall will not be the only destination we ll be visiting in this amazing region of Una National park. We will also visit beautiful set of waterfalls at Martin Brod and few other interesting places.
DAY 7: BOSNIAN MOUNTAINS Bjelasnica and Visocica
On the seventh day we will visit mountain Bjelasnica and Visocica.Bjelasnica hosted competitions that took place during the 14th Winter Olympic Games in 1984. The highest peak (2,067m AMSL) boasts an important meteorological station, this also being the highest continuously inhabited point in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On Bjelašnica mountain there is another curiosity; the village of Lukomir, which, at 1,498 AMSL, is the highest and the most remote village in the entire country.There are also Quads for an unforgettable adventure in nature.
Visočica – located south of Bjelasnica, the highest peak is called Džamija, located at 1,967m AMSL. Its northern part is mainly made out of mountain pastures, while the southern part is covered by forest. Here you can find the Poljice necropolis with 49 stećak, which has been declared a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Overnight in hotel.
DAY 8 RAFTING ON THE NERETVA RIVER
-Rafting on the crystal clear Neretva river . Rafting down the Neretva river is a splendid way to spend the day. You really do not need any prior rafting experience .
Crystal clear mountain water can be drunk along the entire lenght of the canyon.
If Bosnia and Herzegovina has anything, it has water – pure, crystal-clear water. During rafting with well equipped rafting boats and licensed and experienced skippers you can rest, go swimming and enjoy nature.
DAY 9 –BOATING AND TOUR TO AN ECO VILLAGE
Ethno – eco village “Raj U Raju” (Paradise In Paradise)
This Village is surrounded with ecologically clean nature, crystal clear river which going trough the village and surrounding area is very reach with flora and fauna. Ideal connection of sunny Hercegovina, healthy clean air and beautiful waters. It’s also oasis for fishing enthusiasts. This is also called gastronomic paradise for all lovers of 100% organic food which is served in the restaurants.
DAY 10 – VISOKO
Day is reserved for exploring Bosnian pyramids. So after breakfast we will proceed to Visoko. Today, in whole world, Visoko is famous as an archaeological destination and place of great pyramidal complex. You will explore first European Pyramids.
Later we will visit Visoko city which was capital of Bosnian Kings and it had colony and duty of traders from Dubrovnik. Old Tabhanska mosque, Old Franciscan monastery that was ruined in 1697 and later renewed and still work, and The White Mosque are symbols for spiritualism of people in Visoko. Overnight in Sarajevo.
DAY – 11
Bijambare cave tour. Bijambare cave is located around 40 km away from Sarajevo and is one of most beautiful caves in Bosnia. After we are there, first we shall take a nice walk through the beautiful combination of oak, beech and pine forest to reach the Bijambare Cave complex. The walk is rich enriched with plenty of beautiful scenery, small creeks, small lake usually there in spring/winter, fresh air and much more, what will make us have a great beginning at least. After Bijambare cave we recommend lunch at local food restaurant “Kulin dvor”. After small break with Sarajevo local tour guide we will proceed to most beautiful park in Sarajevo.
DAY 12- TOUIR TO BORACKO LAKE, THE LARGEST MOUNTAIN LAKE IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Surroundings are decorated with coniferous and deciduous forests. The lake has carp, brook and lake californian trouts, river crabs, and becouse of it Boracko lake is famouse. Boracko Lake is pleasant for swimming, recreation, sports teams and in this lake live many sort of various fishes, which is a real paradise for fishermen. It’s favorite destination for local and foreign tourists. From Konjic it is far about 20 km asphalt road.
DAY 13-TOUR IN KONJIC,
Visiting Konjic to explore its stunning Old Bridge looming over Neretva river and its old town.
DAY 14 -FREE TIME FOR SHOPPING OR VISITS TO TITO’S BUNKER
The greatest military secret of the former Yugoslavia Tito`s bunker is located under the mountain Zlatar, 280 meters underground. This atomic shelter could withstand a nuclear attack of 20 kilotons. There are eight alternative exits that are not shown on the map and lead to the top of the mountain. This huge facility has more than one hundred rooms in a total area of 6400 square meters.
Bunker is built to protect Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito, his family and the closest associates from political and state leadership of former Yugoslavia, 350 of them in a case of nuclear attack. These officials could stay in the bunker for six months without any contact with the
outside world. An important place in the bunker is Tito’s luxurious private residence with six rooms, including his office and a bedroom.
This is the story of one of the largest and bestkept secrets and the most expensive structures in the former Yugoslavia . The bunker remained a state secret until after the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992. . Guided tours for general public became available only in 2011, when Ministry of Defense of B&H, in presence of NATO, proclaimed that the object had no military perspective, everything moved by the idea of contemporary art project called “Biennial D-0 ARK Underground” which was implemented for the first time and proclaimed as cultural event of Eurpe by Council od Europe.
